Sandoval Lodge is nestled deep within the Tambopata Reserve on the edge of the beautiful Sandoval Lake, one of the most attractive lakes in the entire Amazon. The Sandoval Lodge overlooks the lake’s sparkling water, which is also one of the most wildlife-rich lakes in all of the Tambopata. You can therefore access the lake in the early hours of the morning or in late afternoon, as these are the best times for wildlife photography.
Enjoy lake tours to see Sandoval wildlife, including capuchins, squirrel monkeys, titi monkeys, howler monkeys, and also giant river otters, hoatzins, macaw parrots, and caiman. The lake is also home to interesting giant arapaima fish.
