With experience leading Amazon tours in the Peruvian amazon for 33 years and being one of the pioneers of Amazon travel, you can now relax aboard the custom designed La Estrella Amazonica new in 2013. Enjoy one of Peru’s most pristine protected areas as you voyage deep into the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve exploring abundant and highly diverse flora and fauna with your experienced guide. As we travel to different areas, sit back as you watch the forest pass by from our open-air bar and sun deck on one of the most environmentally conscious boats to cruise Amazonian waters.
Guests travelling between January-June 2013 will be aboard the Aquamarina.

La Estrella Amazonica Description
Despite being custom designed for low environmental impact, you can still enjoy the fitness room to stay in shape on your vacation, the air conditioned lecture room as naturalist guides lead daily discussions on the Amazon Basin, and the classic riverboat styled dining room to savour local cuisine and international favourites.
Cabins
Generous cabins are approx. 220 sq. ft. and furnished with either one king-size bed or two beds, two nightstands and a desk. Plus, cabins offer a closet with ample storage. Guest cabins feature a private balcony with two chairs to enjoy relaxing views. Four cabins on each deck can easily be converted to create two adjoining suites — ideal for families
Lecture Room
While learning about the flora and fauna you have witnessed in Earth’s largest cradle of life as well as relaxing between stopping points, you can enjoy the 55-inch LCD TV, home theater system, movies and small library in the lecture room.
Electricity
Your cabins include three 110/220 volt outlets for charging your camera, camcorder, or electrical items.
Food
The classic-styled dining room seats 6-8 guests so you can socialise with fellow travellers and guides enjoying a mixture of different meals of local and international inspiration. The fully equipped, modern commercial kitchen prepares dishes using fresh, local ingredients
Fitness Room
Stay in shape between stopping points in the on-board fitness room including stair climbers, stationary bikes and weights.
Additional Features
Guides’ reception with complimentary wine and beer onboard daily.
Covered, open-air bar stocks cold bottled water, sodas and local beer.
Ship will is custom built following SOLAS and MARPOL international guidelines, and exceeds Peruvian safety standards.

For excursions, board two 18-passenger excursion boats accompanied by knowledgeable local naturalists.
Your tour covers more than 600 miles on the Amazon and its tributaries. You travel deep into the protected Pacaya-Samiria Reserve and explore three different habitats so you have the best chance of spotting rare wildlife! On our Amazon River cruise, we look for monkeys, birds, sloths and other mammals, pink and gray dolphins and so much more.
