Pantanal Wildlife Center Location
Located two and a half hours by road from Cuiabá airport, the Pantanal Wildlife Center eco-lodge lies on the banks of the Pixaim River. The lodge is composed of a large, fully-screened living and dining room, an outdoor seating area, and a library of the countries wildlife. Each of our eleven screened guest rooms has a private bathroom with a hot shower, overhead fan, air conditioning, and one queen or two twin beds.

Water Bottles
To eliminate plastic bottle waste, the lodge offers complimentary, chilled drinking water dispensed from dedicated water coolers. Please bring your own durable bottle to refill.

Pantanal Wildlife Center Wildlife
At the Pantanal Wildlife Center, we are constantly improving both the quantity and quality of our amazing wildlife sightings. We access field, forest, and river on horseback, boat outings, trail walks, mobile observation towers, electric photo catamarans, as well as night spotlighting from our dedicated truck with special photo logistics. The last three are unique to our lodges, offered nowhere else in the Pantanal.

Pantanal Wildlife Center Observation Platform
We also have the world’s only observation tower of a Jabiru Stork nest. The 12 metre tall platform is accessed by a user-friendly spiral staircase. The top of the tower is on level with the nest, which is only 15 m away. Our specially-trained naturalists have habituated these storks (pictured above) for years so the birds completely ignore guests and carry out their most intimate nesting behaviour in full view.

Important notice about scheduling Flights:
Please schedule an early morning flight to reach Cuiabá. The group will leave no later than 3:00 pm from Cuiabá. If your flight is delayed, you will have to pay for private transport to SWP, as it is not fair for late flights to reduce the Pantanal time for on-time guests. The return from SWP to Cuiabá is around 6:30 am, which is ideal for flights leaving Cuiabá at or after 11:00 am. Guests with later flights are welcome to relax in our air-conditioned office and use free WIFI. The office is only a 6-min walk or 3-min drive from the airport.
