Posada Amazonas Lodge Information

The Posada Amazonas consists of five wings of six rooms connected together by a raised boardwalk. The raising above the floor ensures minimal effect on the wildlife and keeps us dry. All of the bathrooms at the Posada Amazonas are private and have hot flowing water.

We had an amazing time at Posada Amazonas and would recommend it to anyone wanting to go to the Amazon in Peru. It is great that they are working directly with the local community. The accommodation was very nice and the rooms do not have windows so you are very close to nature which is quite a different experience. The guides were fantastic – very knowledgeable and personable. The food was delicious and much better than expected. We didn’t want to leave and could have stayed a few days longer!

- Janine, London, UK

The wellness center at Posada Amazonas is where you can enjoy a massage or aromatherapy treatments so you can relax and enjoy the rainforest.

The Posada Amazonas lodge is community owned by the indigenous Ese-Eja community of Infierno and co-managed. The Posada Amazonas Lodge is located within the Ese-Eja’s communal reserve, next to the Tambopata National Reserve.

Jungle Views – Bedrooms open out onto the surrounding rainforest, allowing guests to enjoy this unique ecosystem even on their downtime, with wild animals, including monkeys, often visible from the lodge.

We went to Posada Amazona in August and we were not expecting this place. This is a beautiful lodge, incredible staff, and excellent food. All the activities were well planned; our guides Ines and Jorge were very knowledgeable and so friendly. The rooms are very nice with a fully working bathroom.

From the airport you are transported by bus to the Infierno River Port where you board our boats for a forty five minute trip to Posada Amazonas. We had a great time in this eco-friendly lodge. The staff was very nice and helpful, the lodge was beautiful and we had some great bush walks during the night and day to see lots of different animals. The food was amazing!
