Born and raised in the southern English countryside, Ash has always maintained a passion for Nature. After relocating to New Zealand to complete a biology degree, he developed an interest in the tropics on a visit to Queensland, Australia. Part way through his degree, Ash visited Peru and fell in love with the Amazon Rainforest. Upon completing undergraduate studies he returned to Peru and travelled extensively throughout South America, including Brazil, Venezuela, and Colombia in an attempt to experience the Amazon Rainforest in its entirety. To his delight, he has realised this vast expanse of rainforest would take many lifetimes to explore.
