Emerald Dove (Chalcophaps indica)

A common bird of the Australian rainforest, emerald doves are often seen on the forest floor. They have attractive green wings with white stripes over their dark back. Emerald dove males can be distinguished by their whitened shoulders. Their nests consist of a cup shaped collection of twigs usually only a few metres above ground level
