Sacred Kingfisher (Todiramphus sanctus)

The attractive turquoise colouration across its back and tail and a cream-coloured neck gives these birds an almost iridescent sheen. This is another attractive bird often seen in Australian forests. The females are usually a slightly lighter colour than males.
