Northern Quoll (Dasyurus hallucatus)

Northern quolls are one of Australia’s unique marsupial fauna. Northern Quolls are a cat-sized carnivore, hunting most things they can catch. Unfortunately their range has been greatly reduced due to the spread of invasive cane toads. They once ranged from Brisbane all the way to Western Australia. Although a marsupial, they lack a pouch to rear young. For the first 10 weeks, immature offspring usually live in a small flap of skin below the mother’s nipples.
