Sandoval Lake Lodge >

Sandoval Lake lodge is nestled deep within the Tambopata Reserve. The lodge overlooks the sparkling water of the Sandoval Lake, which is the most beautiful and wildlife-rich lakes in all of the Tambopata. You can therefore access the lake in the early hours of the morning or in late afternoon, as these are the best times for wildlife photography.

We have a short programme from 2 days and 1 night to 4 days and 3 nights in one of the 25 double occupancy rooms, which are all equipped with ensuite bathrooms, hot-water showers, electricity, and fans. We also provide airport transfer from Porto Maldonado airport, naturalist guides, and lake excursions. On the lake excursions you can see giant otters, monkeys, macaws, and caiman. We provide individualised attention with our small groups providing a more personal experience of the region.

The lodge is built from ecologically-correct driftwood mahogany and is owned jointly by a non-profit conservation group and five families of indigenous Brazil nut collectors.
